About Journal

In June 2022, Medical Journal of Air Force was renamed Aviation Medicine of Air Force. The journal was first published in March 1985 under the title Journal of the General Hospital of Air Force. At that time, it served solely as an internal platform for academic exchange, with very limited circulation and influence. In August 2010, the journal was approved by the National Press and Publication Administration to be renamed Medical Journal of Air Force. The renamed journal was committed to improving its quality and, within just three years, rose to become a core Chinese scientific and technological journal that received widespread acclaim from experts, scholars, and readers at home and abroad. To adapt to new circumstances and missions, Medical Journal of Air Force was renamed Aviation Medicine of Air Force in 2021 according to the journal adjustment plan approved by the Central Military Commission and Air Force. In June 2022, with the approval by Document No. 639 [2022] from the National Press and Publication Administration, Medical Journal of Air Force was officially renamed Aviation Medicine of Air Force. Open submissions and distribution are now accessible both at home and abroad, with ISSN 2097-1753, and CN 10-1860/R. It is a bimonthly publication.

Aviation Medicine of Air Force will continue to meet the urgent needs of military aviation medicine, keep track of frontline developments in aviation medicine, and adhere to a battlefield-oriented, grassroots-oriented, and application-oriented approach. With Air Force aviation medical personnel as its primary readership, the journal will center on guidelines, consensus, original articles, reviews, and articles on aviation health support, aviation psychology, flight crew health assessments, medical services, and public health and epidemic preventionall of which provide guidance to aviation medical personnel and other aviation medical professionals in the Peoples Liberation Army.  The journal aims to establish distinctive strengths in Air Force combat medical support while demonstrating its state-of-the-art platform and leadership in academic exchange of military aviation medicine.
